Our elections committee of volunteer retirees is hard at work counting the over 8000 ballots submitted in the ratification election for the DAS contract, which includes core economics for OUS members. The process began at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, August 23 at the Salem SEIU Local 503 Office; 1730 Commercial Street SE, and will conclude at 4:30 PM. Due to very high participation levels, counting is expected to continue at 8:00 AM Wednesday, August 24. Results will be posted here as soon as they are available.
The Election Committee has agreed to admit up to 20 observers (at any given time) to witness the election counting process. Observers will be admitted on a space-available basis.
