Glendora Claybrooks, a Dignity member who provides care for her son, is a newly elected delegate to the Democratic National Convention! She will represent Oregon at the DNC, which will be held the first week of September in Charlotte, N.C.
Claybrooks has been very active in Washington County politics as well as with the Union. She served as a MOC this past fall and again this year as a MOC on the Suzanne Bonamici campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives.
Claybrooks said that one of her goals, besides her main one of helping to reelect President Obama, is to learn from other convention delegates what’s going on in their states and report back to Oregon members when she returns. To that end, she’s asking for financial help to cover her convention expenses. Anyone interested in donating to that purpose may contact Claybrooks at 503-935-9690 or glendorac3@gmail.com.
