SEIU union members – along with more than 100 groups – walked in the Portland Pride Parade on Monday, June 17 to support the rights of all workers, and remind Portland’s LGBT community that unions stand with them. Thousands of people lined the short route from the Northwest Park Blocks to the waterfront.
Civil rights organizations and politicians marched next to drag queens, while Cher impersonators and elderly women embraced.
This year’s Parade theme is “Beautiful People”.
