This Code of Excellence is the result of input from Homecare workers throughout the state and we proudly present it as our expression of our work, our career, our calling:
Vision:  We are a caring and innovative team of Homecare Workers dedicated to enthusiastically improving the quality of life and health of the people we care for.  We bring dignity home.

Code of Excellence: 

1.    We are trained and qualified homecare workers, bringing experience, knowledge and creativity to support consumer/employer independence.
2.    We strive for excellent and open communication with all members of the care team while maintaining professional boundaries.
3.    We promise to respect the rights of the consumer/employer in the way that they can maintain their way of life.
4.    We are honest, trustworthy, punctual, drug free and hard working.  We will come to work ready to work and focus on the needs of our consumer/employers.
5.    We are responsible for taking care of ourselves, which includes our health, appearance and safety.
6.    We are proud to be an SEIU Homecare Union member, raising the standards of homecare workers and bringing compassion and joy to the lives of consumer/employers throughout Oregon.
