Join SEIU members and community, political, religious and labor leaders who will converge from across the state in a huge march in downtown Portland on Sunday June 7.

It’s no secret who will suffer the consequences if the state balances its budget largely at the expense of front-line workers and the vulnerable populations we serve: children, seniors and middle-class families trying to make ends meet.

There’s a fairer, more responsible way to protect our quality of life.

Let’s make our voices heard and demand fair contracts!

We encourage people coming from the Portland metro area to take public transportation or arrange a carpool. You can use TriMet's Trip Planner to plan your bus ride.
• To plan your trip to the 11:30 am meeting site on the Eastbank Esplanade, enter "SE Water & SE Salmon" as your destination.
• To plan your trip to the 2 pm meeting site at the Terry Schrunk Plaza, enter "SW Madison & SW 3rd Ave" as your destination.

Bring your family and friends! We will form up at the Eastbank Esplanade near OMSI (between Main & Taylor on the West side of Water Avenue) at 11:30 am, march across the Hawthorne Bridge starting at 1 pm, and gather at Terry Schrunk Plaza (3rd Avenue at Madison in downtown Portland) for a rally at 2 pm.

To make it possible for many thousands of members and supporters to participate in this action, as with similar events in the past, we cannot pay for lodging, meal reimbursement or mileage (final decision pending Board of Directors approval on May 16). So please plan on taking the bus! Breakfast snacks will be available on buses leaving before 8 am. Dinner will be provided for bus riders on buses that will return to the starting point after 7 pm. Please bring a bag lunch! This is a family friendly event!
