Grants Pass have joined SEIU Local 503, making theirs the 31st nursing
home in Oregon with union representation.

at Laurelhurst Village Nursing Home in Portland reached an agreement that includes a health care plan for all employees.

Following an outcry by members of SEIU Local 503 and other Oregonians,
the legislature’s emergency board voted July 22 to restore cuts to
community care for seniors and people with disabilities.
"No Takeaways" Heard Loud and Clear
After a successful action on June 22, Laurelhurst Village workers are one step closer to winning employee health care. At their all-staff meeting, almost 100% of workers in attendance wore stickers that said "No Takeaways."
