09/09/09 Local 858 election result notes:
Regions 20, 21 & 22 will be re-run because two candidates were improperly slotted into the wrong region (20 and 22) which affected or could have affected the outcome of Region 21.
Where candidates for Local 858 statewide office (SWO) were elected and the same candidates had run for Regional seats, all candidates chose the SWO seat over the Regional seat. Where appropriate the Assistant was moved into the Director position. A number of vacancies exist because of the movement of SWOs.
Where candidates were written in on the ballot, our Membership Department researched and provided the proper Regional number as well as member or non-member status. All eligible write-in candidates were called to see if they wanted to serve.
