Cascade AIDS Project Ratifies Contract
July 10, 2006
Members voted overwhelmingly!
Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) is a private non profit agency in Portland where our
members provide much needed AIDS related services.
Members at CAP voted overwhelmingly to ratify the tentative agreement reached July 6, 2006.
Over the life of the three year contract, members will see increases ranging from 11-13% and will retain fully paid employee only medical coverage.
The CAP members were also able to secure significant movementĀ on:
wage increases applied to base wages,
adding a new holiday,
increasing the sick leave accrual cap for part-timers,
bereavement leave,
access to vacation days for urgent personal business without supervisory approval, and
the ability to access accrued leave after 90 days of service.
Though contract negotiations were often difficult, the bargaining team and workers at CAP held their ground and won a great contract for their local.
